I mistakenly ended some process in task manager which resulted in a complete empty screen with only background image and cursor remaining. What should I do to get all back?

It looks like you have ended the 'Windows Explorer/File Explorer' process.

Don't worry. I am going to help you!

Please follow my steps mentioned below:

1. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys simultaneously from your keyboard;
2. Now, your 'Task Manager' will open;
3. Then, click on the top menu and select the 'File' option and then select 'New Task'
4. Now, 'Run' will open. You can also open 'Run' directly by using this keyboard shortcut  Windows key+R 
5. In the 'Run' you have to type exactly this 'explorer.exe' and press Enter key from your keyboard.
6. Finally, you will notice that your system comes back in its original state.

That's all!
